it's been too long.
Right now I'm really into the movie Spring Breakdown and the new Dirty Projectors album. I don't know what else to say. Maybe I'll write something better later.

titles are so out right now
There are some people in my life whose taste in movies I generally trust somewhere between 95% and 100%. My mom is one of them. Tom is another one of them. Tom and my mom BOTH loved Rachel Getting Married. WTF? It has made me completely question my reaction to that film. Or, it at least has made me calm down a little bit about it. But, after giving it some more thought, I’m going to stand by my opinion that it sucked ass. I have seen some good movies in the past week though. Milk made me cry for, like, an hour and a half. Happy Go Lucky was quirky and fun and completely likeable. I’ve Loved You So Long made me think about life and relationships. Role Models made me laugh a lot (specifically Jane Lynch…I think I will always see her as Joyce Wishnea).
I’ve started watching the show Damages and I’m really into it. I’m so addicted to television shows. They just suck me in! I can’t help it!
I spent St. Patrick’s Day with Laryne and Ramen. We told ghost stories. They told me about this super haunted spot that they’ve been to in, like, Pleasant Grove or something. And I TOTALLY want to go check it out one night. I’ll keep you guys updated about my ghostly experiences.
I’ve been thinking about some steps I might want to take towards making my life richer and more fulfilling. Like, going back to school, or volunteering for KRCL, or stand up comedy. That last one is something I cannot stop thinking about. Because, making people laugh is pretty much my favorite thing ever. And I have never ever thought of comedy in a career-sense, but…it’s a total possibility. I don’t know. I think I could be good at it. What do you guys think? I’m pretty funny, right? I guess I'd just hate to be that asshole who thinks they're funny but really they just try too hard, or something.

The L Word and Rachel Getting Married and stuff
My top 3 predictions for who kills Jenny in the series finale of The L Word are
I was really gung-ho a couple of days ago about writing a review of the movie Rachel Getting Married and posting it here on this very blog. Then, I just got really sick of thinking about it. I still want to do it because I hated this movie with a passion...but I probably won't because I'm lazy. Anyway, I hated it. It makes me anxious just thinking about how terrible it was. It was melodramatic, unrealistic, pretentious, boring, and just generally ridiculous. The only light in the whole movie was Rosemarie DeWitt. Anna Deavere Smith was in it, too. I really like Anna Deavere Smith. She might be one of my favorite people of all time. So, it made me go, "Really, Anna Deavere Smith? Really?!"
I stopped blogging for awhile because my dog died and it was sad and it made me sad and I lost the will to blog. But I'm not as sad anymore. I'm still sad but not as sad. My will to blog is back. I guess that all I needed was a little encouragement. So, thanks.
I watched the oscars and I enjoyed it. Hugh Jackman was better than I thought he would be. Which probably wasn't hard because I thought he was really going to suck. At first I was sad that Mickey Rourke didn't win Best Actor, but I felt much better after Sean Penn's awesome acceptance speech. What a stand-up guy. Did you guys know that Sean Penn is probably my favorite actor of all time? Well, he is. So I'm always thinking he should win things. But I really loved The Wrestler and I really thought Mickey Rourke was phenomenal.
I don't care what anyone else says... I love Beyonce.
I pretty much agreed with everything else that happened at the oscars. Except for Penelope Cruz. I like her and I liked Vicky Cristina Barcelona and she was great in it but ugh...Viola Davis...Taraji P. Henson...Marisa Tomei...? They were all better than her. Plus she looked weird. The best part about her winning was Heather telling us that she can do a spot-on Penelope Cruz impression. She wouldn't show us, so I don't believe her at all. She also said that she would sing when we played Rock Band and all she did was whisper.
- Dexter (crossover, anyone?)
- Angelica
- Me
